Our History
Don began his construction career framing homes in the Memorial and
Dairy Ashford areas of Houston, Texas. He was a natural at reading and understanding the blueprints of any project and
what it took to construct a structure that was "square and level." Before leaving Houston in 1977 to
venture north to Alaska and catch the wave of the "Boom" in the far north, Don had the opportunity to
work on condominium projects long before most of us knew it would become such a popular style of home! He
also gained commercial construction experience while building a Catholic Church as well as warehouse buildings in
Houston. Then, over his nearly 24 years in Alaska, Don gained invaluable hands-on experience and knowledge in
all aspects of the construction trade - from pouring the foundation to setting the shingles on a rooftop. For
several of those 24 years he focused on developing himself into a true craftsman by being the craftsman - milling the finest
in cabinetry to knowing how to blend the perfect stain for his client. Over the years Don realized that frequently
the homeowner needs guidance in planning and designing the project. So he has adapted the company services to assist
the client in designing their spaces to fit their vision. The functionality of any space is as integral to the project
as the eye-appeal of the project. When it comes to true custom construction, its just about all that Don has ever done.
We pride ourselves on being engaged in the construction
process from the initial planning and design through the finished construction and final clean-up. We believe this is
